WORLD FEDERATION OF POWER LEADERS(LEE SAN-HA, CEO of WFPL) (www.wfple.org) stated that Peter Handke, the winner of 2nd WIC AWARDS, was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature this year.
The Swedish Academy of Sciences announced that Peter Handke for an influential work that with linguistic ingenuity has explored the periphery and the specificity of human experience, was selected for the Nobel Prize for Literature on 10th October.
Peter Handke, the winner of WIC AWARDS in culture, was born in 1942, Griffen, Carinthia, Austria. He paid attention to the language-intrinsic method in opposition to the participatory literature that led German literature in the late 1960s. The politicization of literature he argued begins with the recognition of the self-defined, naturally accepted, crafted, and manipulated, and screenplay of the ruling system as the ‘Dramaturgie’, and he saw literature as a task that enabled this perception.
The enlightening means and object of Peter Handke was language. He paid attention to the relations between linguistic reality and practical reality, and in 1966, he published “offending the audience” against the form of the traditional drama and aroused a big echo in the theatrical circles. Meanwhile, the winners of the first WIC AWARDS were the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in world peace, Michelle Obama in human rights, Marina Silva in Brazil in environment, Mr. Marwin in China in economics, the Helmholtz Ocean Research Institute, the Swedish Sylvia Hemmet Foundation in health care, the Israeli Hebrew University Technology Transfer Center ‘the Yissum Center’ in education, Indian lawyer ‘A. Shah’ in social contribution, and Nigeria's “Wole Soyinka in culture”.
The winners of the 2nd WC AWARDS are as follows: Japan's former Prime Minister Hatoyama Yukio in world peace; Ethiopia’s woman human rights activist Chief Justice Meaza Ashenafi of Ethiopia Supreme Court in human rights; Boyan Slat of the Netherlands in environment; Warren Buffett of the United States in economics; Stephen William Hawking of the United Kingdom in science; Vicky Colbert of Colombia in education; Qingdao Red Cross Medical Corps of China in health care; Michelin of France RDS in social contribution; Peter Handke of Austria in culture.
The candidates for the nomination of WIC AWARDS are accepted by June 30 every year. The announcement of the third WIC AWARDS winner will be made in November of this year.
WFPL has been giving WIC AWARDS (WORLD INNOVATIVE CONTRIBUTIVE AWARDS) every year under the motto of "Creating a healthy and just world together".
WIC AWARDS applies the principle of equitable regional representation to prevent winners from being selected from a particular country. In one country, only one winner can be selected, except for NGO(Non-Governmental Organizations) that have branches in many countries around the world.
After the selection of the winner, a five-year grace period is set, and those who impair the value of the prize due to international scandal and other problems are excluded from the winners.
In particular, all the contents relating to the recommendation of candidates in the selection process of WIC AWARDS will remain confidential for 60years.
WIC AWARDS ceremony is held every January to celebrate ‘the World School Violence Expulsion(SVE) Day’.
On the other hand, WORLD FEDERATION OF POWER LEADERS(WFPL) originates from the International Youth Institute (formerly the International Youth Research Institute, CEO LEE SAN-HA) established on January 11, 2007, and through the 17 metropolitan and provincial branches and the regional federations in Korea, and in cooperation with enthusiastic young talents, actively participates in solving the crisis arising from the structural conflicts in the society. In particular, International Policy Institute (IPI), a WFPL-affiliated research institute, is a politically neutral non-profit organization. It carries out work such as making suggestion and proving services and appraisal for the efficient operation of public enterprises and other entities, and national policy, legislation and legislative activities.
In addition to its affiliated institutions, WFPL has a "Human Rights Organization" as a special organization and a "SVE (School Violence Expulsion) Movement Headquarters" within the human rights organization.
The SVE Movement Headquarters was inaugurated on December 19th, 2017(venue: international conference room 19th fl. Korea Press Center) to solve the school violence problem professionally.
SVE HQ has been giving the 'SVE SPECIAL AWARDS (Adult)' and 'KOREA STUDENT LEADER AWARDS(Children and Youth)', for the purpose of preventing or expelling school violence every year.
Along with this, the 10 million signature-seeking campaign for expulsion of school violence is to continue.
