SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)는 세계청년리더총연맹(WFPL, World Federation of Power Leaders)이 설립한 기업 및 공공기관 평가전문기관으로서, 독립성과 전문성을 바탕으로 기업 및 공공기관을 객관적이고 체계적으로 평가하며, WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)를 개발·운영하고 있습니다.

The Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC) is a specialized evaluation institution established by the World Federation of Power Leaders (WFPL). Based on independence and professional expertise, SEC objectively and systematically evaluates corporations and public institutions while developing and operating the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI).

 

SEC의 평가는 조직의 우열을 가리거나 단순히 등급을 부여하는 데 목적이 있는 것이 아닙니다. 객관적이고 공정한 평가를 통하여 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능한 성장(Sustainable Growth), 미래 성장 가능성(Future Growth Potential), 혁신역량(Innovation Capability), 비재무 리스크 관리역량(Non-Financial Risk Management Capability) 및 장기 가치창출(Long-Term Value Creation Potential)을 지원하는 것이 SEC의 핵심 사명입니다.

오늘날 기업 및 공공기관을 둘러싼 경영환경은 빠르게 변화하고 있습니다. 기후변화 대응, 탄소중립, 디지털 전환, 인공지능(AI), 공급망 리스크, 인권 보호, 사이버 보안 및 윤리경영 강화에 대한 요구가 확대되면서 지속가능성과 비재무 리스크 관리역량은 조직 경쟁력의 핵심 요소가 되고 있습니다.

Today, the operating environment surrounding corporations and public institutions is changing rapidly. Climate action, carbon neutrality, digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), supply-chain resilience, human rights protection, cybersecurity, and ethical management have become critical factors in organizational competitiveness.

 

기존 ESG 평가체계는 조직의 현재 비재무적 성과와 위험관리 수준을 평가하는 데 중요한 역할을 수행해 왔습니다. 그러나 현대 사회가 요구하는 새로운 책임경영 가치와 미래 성장역량을 보다 종합적으로 평가하기에는 일정한 한계가 있다는 논의가 지속되어 왔습니다.

Conventional ESG frameworks have played an important role in assessing current non-financial performance and risk management. However, they have increasingly been recognized as having limitations in comprehensively evaluating the evolving requirements of Responsible Management and future growth capability.

SEC의 가장 큰 특징은 자체적으로 개발한 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)를 공식 평가모델로 운영하고 있다는 점입니다.

The defining characteristic of SEC is that it develops and operates the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) as its official evaluation framework.

 

WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)는 기존 ESG(Environment, Social, Governance) 평가체계만으로는 충분히 반영하기 어려운 현대 사회의 새로운 책임경영 요구를 종합적으로 평가하기 위하여 개발된 차세대 책임경영 평가체계입니다. ESG의 기본 영역을 넘어 공공가치(Public Value), 사회적 가치(Social Value), 공동체 가치(Community Value), 미래세대 보호(Protection of Future Generations), 디지털윤리(Digital Ethics), 혁신가치(Innovation Value) 및 미래 성장역량(Future Growth Capability)을 함께 반영함으로써 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능성(Sustainability), 책임경영(Responsible Management), 비재무 리스크 관리역량(Non-Financial Risk Management Capability), 혁신역량(Innovation Capability) 및 장기 가치창출 역량(Long-Term Value Creation Potential)을 보다 입체적이고 미래지향적으로 평가합니다.

The WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) is a next-generation Responsible Management Evaluation Framework developed to address the evolving Responsible Management challenges of modern society that are difficult to fully capture through conventional ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) frameworks alone. Going beyond the traditional ESG domains, it incorporates Public Value, Social Value, Community Value, Protection of Future Generations, Digital Ethics, Innovation Value, and Future Growth Capability to provide a more comprehensive and forward-looking assessment of the Sustainability, Responsible Management Performance, Non-Financial Risk Management Capability, Innovation Capability, and Long-Term Value Creation Potential of corporations and public institutions.

 

WFSRI는 6대 평가부문(Six Major Evaluation Categories), 14개 하위항목(Fourteen Sub-Categories), 110개 세부지표(110 Detailed Indicators) 및 31개 핵심가치지표(Core Value Indicators, CVI)로 구성된 통합 책임경영 평가체계입니다.

The WFSRI is an integrated Responsible Management Evaluation Framework consisting of Six Major Evaluation Categories, Fourteen Sub-Categories, 110 Detailed Indicators, and 31 Core Value Indicators (CVI).

 

WFSRI는 조직의 우열을 가리기 위한 평가체계가 아니라 현재 수준과 미래 성장 가능성을 함께 진단하여 지속적인 혁신과 경쟁력 강화를 지원하는 발전지향형 책임경영 평가체계이며, 기업가치(Corporate Value), 주주가치(Shareholder Value) 및 이해관계자 가치(Stakeholder Value)를 함께 높이는 '책임경영의 새로운 기준(New Standard for Responsible Management)'을 지향합니다.

The WFSRI is not designed merely to rank organizations. Rather, it is a development-oriented Responsible Management Evaluation Framework that assesses both current performance and future growth potential, supports continuous innovation and stronger competitiveness, and serves as the New Standard for Responsible Management by enhancing Corporate Value, Shareholder Value, and Stakeholder Value.
