세계청년리더총연맹(WFPL, WORLD FEDERATION OF POWER LEADERS, 이하 세계총연맹)은 지난 2007년 1월11일 설립된 '국제청소년연구원 (구. 국제청소년연구소, 초대 대표 이산하<李山河>)'을 모태로 한 비영리 정치적 중립기구로, 세계총연맹 부설 언론기관인 세계언론협회(WPA, WORLD PRESS ASSOCIATION)와 전국 17개 광역시•도 지부연맹 및 세계 각 국가의 지부연맹을 통해서 열정을 가진 청년인재들과 함께 사회의 구조적 모순에서 일어나는 위기상황을 해결해 나가는데 기여하고 있다. 또한 세계 각국 간의 교류와 협력을 통해 사회적 약자가 소외 받지 않고 참여와 소통의 문화가 확산돼 ’더불어 함께하는 세상'을 열어 가는데 가치를 두고 있다. |

세계학교폭력추방의 날(World School Violence Eradication Day)은 학교폭력으로 고통받거나 희생되는 학생들이 더 이상 발생하지 않는 안전한 교육환경을 만들기 위하여 세계청년리더총연맹(WFPL)이 제정·선포한 국제 공익 기념일이다. World School Violence Eradication Day is an international public-interest observance established and proclaimed by the World Federation of Power Leaders (WFPL) to promote safe educational environments where no student suffers from or becomes a victim of school violence.
학교폭력 예방과 청소년 인권 보호는 특정 국가만의 문제가 아니라 전 세계가 함께 해결해야 할 공동의 과제라는 인식 아래, 세계 각국의 시민사회와 함께 예방 중심의 교육문화와 건강한 학교문화를 확산하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. Recognizing that school violence prevention and youth rights protection are global challenges rather than issues confined to a single nation, the observance aims to promote prevention-oriented education and healthy school culture through cooperation with civil society around the world.
제정 배경
세계학교폭력추방본부(SVEH)는 2017년 12월 19일 공식 출범과 함께 학교폭력 예방을 위한 국제적인 연대와 국민참여형 운동의 필요성을 제안하였다. 이어 세계청년리더총연맹(WFPL)은 세계연맹 설립기념일인 1월 11일을 '세계학교폭력추방의 날'로 지정·선포하여 학교폭력 예방에 대한 사회적 관심과 국제적 협력을 확대해 나가고 있다. Following the official launch of the World School Violence Eradication Headquarters (SVEH) on 19 December 2017, the World Federation of Power Leaders (WFPL) designated 11 January, the anniversary of its founding, as World School Violence Eradication Day to strengthen global cooperation and public awareness for the prevention of school violence.
1월 11일 지정 의미
1월 11일은 세계청년리더총연맹(WFPL)의 설립기념일로, 공공가치와 사회혁신을 바탕으로 미래세대를 보호하고 지속가능한 사회를 만들어 가겠다는 WFPL의 설립 정신을 상징하는 날이다. 11 January marks the founding anniversary of the World Federation of Power Leaders (WFPL) and symbolizes its commitment to protecting future generations and building a sustainable society based on public value and social innovation.

연례 기념행사
세계학교폭력추방본부(SVEH)는 매년 1월 11일 세계학교폭력추방의 날을 기념하여 학교폭력 예방과 청소년 보호를 위한 다양한 공익행사와 캠페인을 개최하고 있다. Each year, SVEH commemorates World School Violence Eradication Day on 11 January by organizing a variety of public-interest events and campaigns dedicated to school violence prevention and youth protection.
주요 행사로는 학교폭력 예방 캠페인, 청소년 보호를 위한 정책 제안, 국민 인식 개선 활동, 학교폭력 추방을 위한 1,000만인 서명운동 등이 있으며, 국내외 다양한 기관 및 시민사회와 협력하여 학교폭력 없는 건강한 학교문화 조성을 위한 공동 실천을 이어가고 있다.
