WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)는 SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)가 개발·운영하는 공식 책임경영 평가체계로서, 기업 및 공공기관(Corporations and Public Institutions)의 지속가능한 성장(Sustainable Growth), 미래 성장 가능성(Future Growth Potential), 혁신역량(Innovation Capability), 장기 가치창출(Long-Term Value Creation) 및 책임경영(Responsible Management) 수준을 종합적으로 진단하고 지속적인 발전을 지원하기 위하여 개발된 통합 책임경영 평가체계이다.

The WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) is the official Responsible Management Evaluation Framework developed and operated by the Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC). It is an integrated evaluation framework designed to assess Sustainable Growth, Future Growth Potential, Innovation Capability, Long-Term Value Creation, and Responsible Management performance while supporting the continuous advancement of corporations and public institutions.

 

WFSRI는 단순히 조직의 현재 수준을 평가하기 위한 지표가 아니라 조직의 강점과 개선과제를 객관적으로 진단하고 미래 성장 가능성과 장기 경쟁력을 함께 분석하여 지속적인 혁신과 책임경영 실천을 지원하는 발전지향형 책임경영 평가체계이다.

The WFSRI is not merely an assessment tool for measuring current organizational performance. It is a development-oriented Responsible Management Evaluation Framework that objectively identifies organizational strengths and opportunities for improvement while assessing future growth potential and long-term competitiveness to support continuous innovation and responsible management.

Background of the WFSRI

 

오늘날 기업 및 공공기관의 경쟁력은 단순한 재무성과만으로 평가되지 않는다. 지속가능성(Sustainability), 책임경영(Responsible Management), 공공가치(Public Value), 사회적 가치(Social Value), 공동체 가치(Community Value), 미래세대 보호(Protection of Future Generations), 디지털윤리(Digital Ethics), 혁신가치(Innovation Value) 및 비재무 리스크 관리역량은 조직의 지속가능한 성장과 장기 경쟁력을 결정하는 핵심 요소로 자리 잡고 있다.

Today, organizational competitiveness is no longer measured solely by financial performance. Sustainability, Responsible Management, Public Value, Social Value, Community Value, Protection of Future Generations, Digital Ethics, Innovation Value, and Non-Financial Risk Management Capability have become key drivers of sustainable growth and long-term competitiveness.

 

기존 ESG(Environment, Social, Governance) 평가체계는 기업의 현재 비재무적 성과와 위험관리 수준을 평가하는 데 중요한 역할을 수행해 왔지만, 미래 성장 가능성(Future Growth Potential), 혁신역량(Innovation Capability) 및 장기 가치창출(Long-Term Value Creation)을 종합적으로 평가하는 데에는 일정한 한계가 있다는 논의가 지속되어 왔다.

While ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) has played an important role in assessing current non-financial performance and risk management, discussions have increasingly highlighted its limitations in comprehensively evaluating Future Growth Potential, Innovation Capability, and Long-Term Value Creation.

 

SEC는 이러한 시대적 변화에 대응하여 ESG의 철학과 평가원칙을 계승하면서도 미래 경쟁력까지 함께 평가할 수 있는 보다 발전된 책임경영 평가체계로서 WFSRI를 개발하였다.

In response to these evolving needs, SEC developed the WFSRI as an advanced Responsible Management Evaluation Framework that builds upon ESG while extending its scope to assess future competitiveness.

WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)는 ESG(Environment, Social, Governance)의 기본 가치와 평가원칙을 포함하는 동시에 공공가치(Public Value), 사회적 가치(Social Value), 공동체 가치(Community Value), 미래세대 보호(Protection of Future Generations), 디지털윤리(Digital Ethics) 및 혁신가치(Innovation Value)를 함께 반영한 확장형 책임경영 평가체계이다.

The WFSRI incorporates the core values and evaluation principles of ESG while additionally integrating Public Value, Social Value, Community Value, Protection of Future Generations, Digital Ethics, and Innovation Value into an expanded Responsible Management Evaluation Framework.

 

기존 ESG 평가가 현재의 지속가능성과 비재무 리스크 관리 수준에 중점을 두고 있다면, WFSRI는 조직의 책임경영 수준뿐 아니라 미래 성장 가능성, 혁신역량, 사회적 가치 창출 및 장기 가치창출 역량까지 종합적으로 진단하여 지속적인 발전 방향을 제시하는 데 차별성이 있다.

While conventional ESG assessments primarily focus on current sustainability performance and non-financial risk management, the WFSRI distinguishes itself by comprehensively evaluating Responsible Management, Future Growth Potential, Innovation Capability, Social Value Creation, and Long-Term Value Creation while providing guidance for continuous organizational development.

 

 

WFSRI 평가체계
WFSRI Evaluation Framework

 

WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)는 6대 평가부문(Six Major Evaluation Categories), 14개 하위항목(Fourteen Sub-Categories), 110개 세부지표(110 Detailed Indicators) 및 31개 핵심가치지표(Core Value Indicators, CVI)로 구성된 체계적인 책임경영 평가체계이다.

The WFSRI consists of Six Major Evaluation Categories, Fourteen Sub-Categories, 110 Detailed Indicators, and 31 Core Value Indicators (CVI).

 

평가는 조직의 정책, 제도, 운영체계, 실행성과 및 지속적인 개선 노력을 종합적으로 고려하며, 기업 및 공공기관의 특성을 반영하여 객관적이고 일관성 있게 적용된다.

The framework comprehensively evaluates organizational policies, systems, operational frameworks, implementation outcomes, and continuous improvement efforts while being objectively and consistently applied with consideration for the characteristics of corporations and public institutions.

 

 

SEC WFSRI Rating 연계
Integration with the SEC WFSRI Rating

 

SEC는 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)를 기반으로 SEC WFSRI Rating을 운영하며 평가결과에 따라 AAA(Platinum), AA(Gold), A(Silver), BB(Certified), B(Not Certified)의 5단계 책임경영 평가등급을 부여한다.

Based on the WFSRI, SEC operates the SEC WFSRI Rating framework and assigns five Responsible Management ratings: AAA (Platinum), AA (Gold), A (Silver), BB (Certified), and B (Not Certified).

 

SEC WFSRI Rating은 조직의 현재 책임경영 수준을 객관적으로 제시하는 동시에 지속적인 개선과 혁신을 지원하고 사회적 신뢰를 높이기 위한 공식 책임경영 평가등급 체계이다.

The SEC WFSRI Rating objectively presents an organization's Responsible Management performance while supporting continuous improvement, innovation, and stronger public trust through an official Responsible Management Rating System.
