안녕하십니까.
SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)를 찾아주신 여러분께 진심으로 감사드립니다.
오늘날 기업 및 공공기관을 둘러싼 경영환경은 그 어느 때보다 빠르게 변화하고 있습니다. 기후변화 대응과 탄소중립, 디지털 전환과 인공지능(AI)의 확산, 공급망 재편, 인권 보호, 사이버 보안 및 윤리경영 강화 등 새로운 시대적 과제는 조직에게 재무적 성과를 넘어 지속가능성과 책임경영을 요구하고 있습니다.
이제 조직의 경쟁력은 단순한 규모나 단기적인 성과가 아니라 지속가능한 성장 역량, 혁신역량, 미래 대응 능력, 그리고 사회적 신뢰를 바탕으로 장기적인 가치를 창출할 수 있는 역량에 의해 결정됩니다. 책임경영은 선택이 아니라 미래 경쟁력을 결정하는 핵심 가치가 되고 있습니다.

Why SEC Exists
SEC는 이러한 시대적 변화에 부응하기 위하여 세계청년리더총연맹(WFPL)이 설립한 기업 및 공공기관 평가전문기관입니다.
우리는 독립성과 전문성을 바탕으로 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능성(Sustainability), 책임경영(Responsible Management), 비재무 리스크 관리역량(Non-Financial Risk Management Capability), 혁신역량(Innovation Capability) 및 장기 가치창출 역량(Long-Term Value Creation Potential)을 객관적이고 체계적으로 평가하고 있습니다.
그러나 SEC가 추구하는 평가는 단순히 조직의 우열을 가리거나 등급을 부여하기 위한 것이 아닙니다.
우리는 평가를 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능한 성장과 미래 경쟁력을 지원하는 발전전략의 출발점으로 이해합니다. 평가는 현재 수준을 객관적으로 진단하는 동시에 미래 성장 가능성과 혁신역량을 발견하고 지속적인 개선과 장기 가치창출을 지원하여야 합니다. 또한 투자자, 주주, 고객, 임직원 및 다양한 이해관계자에게는 신뢰할 수 있는 의사결정 기준을 제공하는 공익적 가치로 기능하여야 합니다.
SEC는 기업 및 공공기관을 평가의 대상으로만 바라보는 기관이 아니라, 객관적이고 독립적인 평가를 바탕으로 사회적 신뢰를 높이고 지속가능한 성장과 미래 경쟁력을 함께 만들어가는 책임경영 파트너가 되고자 합니다.
왜 WFSRI를 개발하였는가
Why the WFSRI Was Developed
이러한 철학 아래 SEC는 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)를 개발하였습니다.
WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)는 기존 ESG(Environment, Social, Governance) 평가체계만으로는 충분히 반영하기 어려운 현대 사회의 새로운 책임경영 요구를 종합적으로 평가하기 위하여 개발된 차세대 책임경영 평가체계입니다. ESG의 기본 영역을 넘어 공공가치(Public Value), 사회적 가치(Social Value), 공동체 가치(Community Value), 미래세대 보호(Protection of Future Generations), 디지털윤리(Digital Ethics), 혁신가치(Innovation Value) 및 미래 성장역량(Future Growth Capability)을 함께 반영함으로써 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능성(Sustainability), 책임경영 수준(Responsible Management), 비재무 리스크 관리역량(Non-Financial Risk Management Capability), 혁신역량(Innovation Capability) 및 장기 가치창출 역량(Long-Term Value Creation Potential)을 보다 입체적이고 미래지향적으로 평가합니다.
이를 기반으로 운영되는 SEC WFSRI Rating은 조직의 현재 책임경영 수준을 객관적으로 제시하는 동시에 지속가능한 성장 가능성, 미래 경쟁력 및 장기 가치창출 역량을 함께 진단하는 공식 책임경영 평가등급 체계입니다.

SEC는 ESG·WFSRI 평가분석센터를 운영하여 평가결과뿐 아니라 산업별 비교분석, 책임경영 프로파일, 비재무 리스크 분석, 장기 가치창출 역량 분석 및 다양한 연구자료를 제공함으로써 기업 및 공공기관이 스스로 경쟁력을 강화하고 지속적인 혁신을 추진할 수 있도록 지원하고 있습니다.
우리는 지속가능한 사회는 책임 있는 기업 및 공공기관으로부터 시작된다고 믿습니다.

우리는 공정성(Fairness), 객관성(Objectivity), 독립성(Independence), 투명성(Transparency), 책임성(Accountability), 전문성(Professionalism) 및 데이터 신뢰성(Data Reliability)을 핵심 운영원칙으로 삼고 있습니다.
특히 평가와 인증의 독립성을 확보하기 위하여 평가비, 심사비, 인증비, 후원금, 찬조금, 협찬금 등 어떠한 경제적 지원도 받지 않는 경제적 독립성(Financial Independence) 원칙을 철저히 준수하고 있습니다.
또한 사실확인(Factual Review), 이의신청(Appeal), 평가윤리(Evaluation Ethics) 및 이해상충 방지(Conflict of Interest Prevention) 체계를 통하여 평가의 신뢰성과 공정성을 지속적으로 강화하고 있습니다.

A New Era, A New Standard for Responsible Management
Greetings,
Thank you for visiting the Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC).
Today, corporations and public institutions operate in an environment undergoing unprecedented transformation. Climate action, carbon neutrality, digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI), supply-chain restructuring, human rights protection, cybersecurity, and ethical management have fundamentally reshaped the standards by which organizations create value.
Organizational competitiveness is no longer determined solely by size or short-term financial performance. It increasingly depends on an organization's capacity for Sustainable Growth, Innovation Capability, Future Readiness, and Long-Term Value Creation founded upon public trust. Responsible Management has therefore become a defining source of future competitiveness.
Why SEC Exists
Established by the World Federation of Power Leaders (WFPL), the Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC) is a specialized evaluation institution for corporations and public institutions.
Based on independence and professional expertise, SEC objectively and systematically evaluates Sustainability, Responsible Management, Non-Financial Risk Management Capability, Innovation Capability, and Long-Term Value Creation Potential.
Our mission extends far beyond assigning ratings.
Evaluation should serve as the starting point for sustainable growth and stronger future competitiveness. It should objectively assess current performance while identifying future growth opportunities, innovation capability, and long-term value creation potential. It should also provide investors, shareholders, customers, employees, and other stakeholders with reliable information for sound decision-making.
SEC therefore seeks not merely to evaluate organizations, but to become a trusted Responsible Management partner that helps corporations and public institutions strengthen public trust, sustainable growth, and future competitiveness through objective and independent evaluation.
Why the WFSRI Was Developed
Guided by this philosophy, SEC developed the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI).
The WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) is a next-generation Responsible Management Evaluation Framework developed to address the evolving Responsible Management challenges of modern society that are difficult to fully capture through conventional ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) frameworks alone. Going beyond the traditional ESG domains, it incorporates Public Value, Social Value, Community Value, Protection of Future Generations, Digital Ethics, Innovation Value, and Future Growth Capability to provide a more comprehensive and forward-looking assessment of the Sustainability, Responsible Management Performance, Non-Financial Risk Management Capability, Innovation Capability, and Long-Term Value Creation Potential of corporations and public institutions.
Based on the WFSRI, SEC operates the SEC WFSRI Rating, the official Responsible Management Rating System that objectively presents an organization's current Responsible Management performance while also assessing its future competitiveness, sustainable growth potential, and long-term value creation capability.

SEC operates the ESG·WFSRI Evaluation & Analysis Center, providing industry benchmarking, responsible management profiles, non-financial risk analyses, long-term value creation analyses, and research resources that help organizations strengthen competitiveness and pursue continuous innovation.
We firmly believe that a sustainable society begins with responsible corporations and public institutions.
Responsible leadership and continuous innovation strengthen not only organizational competitiveness but also the confidence of investors, shareholders, customers, employees, and society, ultimately enhancing Corporate Value, Shareholder Value, and Stakeholder Value.
Fairness and Independence Are the Foundation of SEC
Fairness and independence remain the foundation of everything we do.
SEC operates under the principles of Fairness, Objectivity, Independence, Transparency, Accountability, Professionalism, and Data Reliability.
To preserve complete evaluation independence, SEC strictly adheres to its principle of Financial Independence by accepting no evaluation fees, review fees, certification fees, sponsorships, donations, promotional contributions, or any other financial support from evaluated organizations.
Our governance framework—including Factual Review, Appeal Procedures, Evaluation Ethics, and Conflict of Interest Prevention—further strengthens the credibility, fairness, and integrity of every evaluation.
Our Commitment to the Future
Looking ahead, SEC will continue to grow as an independent Responsible Management evaluation and analysis platform supporting corporations and public institutions in achieving Sustainable Growth, stronger Future Competitiveness, Long-Term Value Creation, and greater Social Value.
We believe evaluation should never end with evaluation itself.
It should become a process through which organizations build a stronger future.
Evaluation not for evaluation's sake, but for growth and innovation.
Ratings not for rankings, but for a sustainable future.
