WF책임경영지수(WFSRI, WF Sustainable Responsibility Index)는 기업 및 공공기관(Corporations and Public Institutions)의 지속가능성(Sustainability), 책임경영(Responsible Management), 공공가치(Public Value), 사회적 가치(Social Value), 공동체 가치(Community Value), 미래세대 보호(Protection of Future Generations), 디지털윤리(Digital Ethics), 비재무 리스크 관리역량(Non-Financial Risk Management Capability), 혁신역량(Innovation Capability) 및 장기 가치창출 역량(Long-Term Value Creation Potential)을 종합적으로 평가하고 조직의 지속적인 성장과 책임경영 역량 향상을 지원하기 위하여 개발된 통합 책임경영 평가체계이다.

The WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) is an integrated Responsible Management Evaluation Framework developed to comprehensively assess the Sustainability, Responsible Management, Public Value, Social Value, Community Value, Protection of Future Generations, Digital Ethics, Non-Financial Risk Management Capability, Innovation Capability, and Long-Term Value Creation Potential of Corporations and Public Institutions while supporting their continuous growth and the advancement of responsible management.

 

오늘날 ESG(Environment, Social, Governance)는 조직의 지속가능성을 평가하는 국제적인 기준으로 널리 활용되고 있으며, 기업 및 공공기관의 책임 있는 경영활동을 촉진하는 데 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있다. 그러나 급변하는 경영환경 속에서 공공가치(Public Value), 사회적 가치(Social Value), 공동체 가치(Community Value), 미래세대 보호(Protection of Future Generations), 디지털윤리(Digital Ethics), 혁신가치(Innovation Value) 및 미래 성장역량(Future Growth Capability)에 대한 중요성이 더욱 확대되면서 이를 보다 균형 있게 반영할 수 있는 새로운 평가체계의 필요성이 커지고 있다.

Today, ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) has become an internationally recognized framework for assessing organizational sustainability and has played a significant role in promoting responsible management. As management environments continue to evolve, however, increasing importance is being placed on Public Value, Social Value, Community Value, Protection of Future Generations, Digital Ethics, Innovation Value, and Future Growth Capability, creating a growing need for a broader and more balanced evaluation framework.

 

 

WFSRI 개발의 배경

SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)는 기존 ESG(Environment, Social, Governance) 평가체계만으로는 충분히 반영하기 어려운 현대 사회의 새로운 책임경영 요구에 주목하여 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)를 개발하였다. WFSRI는 ESG의 기본 영역을 넘어 공공가치(Public Value), 사회적 가치(Social Value), 공동체 가치(Community Value), 미래세대 보호(Protection of Future Generations), 디지털윤리(Digital Ethics), 혁신가치(Innovation Value) 및 미래 성장역량(Future Growth Capability)을 함께 반영함으로써 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능성, 책임경영 수준, 비재무 리스크 관리역량, 혁신역량 및 장기 가치창출 역량을 보다 입체적이고 미래지향적으로 평가하도록 설계되었다.

Recognizing that conventional ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) frameworks alone are not sufficient to fully address the evolving responsible management challenges of modern society, the Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC) developed the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI). Going beyond the traditional ESG domains, the WFSRI incorporates Public Value, Social Value, Community Value, Protection of Future Generations, Digital Ethics, Innovation Value, and Future Growth Capability to provide a more comprehensive and forward-looking assessment of the Sustainability, Responsible Management Performance, Non-Financial Risk Management Capability, Innovation Capability, and Long-Term Value Creation Potential of Corporations and Public Institutions.

 

WFSRI는 단순히 조직의 현재 성과를 평가하는 데 그치지 않고 미래 성장 가능성과 지속가능한 경쟁력을 함께 진단하여 조직의 지속적인 개선과 혁신을 지원하는 발전지향형 책임경영 평가체계이다.

The WFSRI is not limited to assessing current organizational performance. It is a development-oriented Responsible Management Evaluation Framework designed to evaluate future growth potential and sustainable competitiveness while supporting continuous improvement and innovation.

 

 

백서의 목적
Purpose of This White Paper

 

본 백서는 WFSRI의 개발 배경과 평가철학, 평가체계, 평가지표, 운영원칙 및 활용방안을 체계적으로 정리한 공식 기준문서이다. 또한 기업 및 공공기관, 연구기관, 정책결정자 및 다양한 이해관계자가 WFSRI를 올바르게 이해하고 효과적으로 활용할 수 있도록 지원하는 실천적 지침서의 역할을 수행한다.

This White Paper serves as the official reference document presenting the development background, evaluation philosophy, framework, indicators, operational principles, and practical applications of the WFSRI. It also serves as a practical guide to help corporations and public institutions, research organizations, policymakers, investors, and other stakeholders understand and effectively utilize the framework.
