AI 시대, 새로운 책임경영 평가환경
A New Evaluation Environment in the Age of AI

 

 

기업과 공공기관을 둘러싼 환경은 인공지능(AI), 디지털 전환, 기후변화 대응, 글로벌 공급망 재편, 사이버 보안, 인권 보호, 윤리경영, 그리고 공공가치와 사회적 가치에 대한 요구 확대로 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 이러한 변화는 조직의 운영 방식뿐 아니라 경쟁력을 평가하는 기준까지 근본적으로 바꾸고 있다.
The environment surrounding corporations and public institutions is rapidly evolving as a result of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital transformation, climate action, global supply chain restructuring, cybersecurity, human rights, ethical governance, and the growing demand for public and social value. These changes are fundamentally reshaping not only how organizations operate but also the standards by which their competitiveness is evaluated.

 

오늘날 조직의 경쟁력은 단기적인 재무성과나 기존 ESG(Environmental, Social, Governance) 평가만으로는 충분히 설명될 수 없다. 지속가능한 성장, 미래 경쟁력, 혁신역량, 장기 가치창출, 비재무 리스크 관리, 공공가치 및 사회적 가치까지 함께 평가할 수 있는 새로운 책임경영 평가체계가 요구되고 있다.
Today, organizational competitiveness can no longer be fully explained by short-term financial performance or conventional Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) assessments alone. A new Responsible Management Evaluation Framework is required to comprehensively assess sustainable growth, future competitiveness, innovation capability, long-term value creation, non-financial risk management, public value, and social value.

 

이러한 시대적 변화는 새로운 책임경영 평가기준의 필요성을 제시하고 있으며, 바로 이러한 요구에 대응하기 위하여 SEC는 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)를 독자적으로 개발하였다.
Responding to these changes, the Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC) independently developed the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) as a new standard for Responsible Management Evaluation.

 

 

WFSRI 개발의 배경
Development of the WFSRI

 

WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)는 기존 ESG를 대체하기 위하여 개발된 평가체계가 아니다.
The WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) was not developed to replace conventional ESG.

 

WFSRI는 ESG의 기본 철학을 포함하면서도 ESG만으로는 충분히 설명하기 어려운 책임경영 영역을 보다 종합적이고 미래지향적으로 평가하기 위하여 SEC가 독자적으로 개발한 공식 책임경영 평가체계(Official Responsible Management Evaluation Framework)이다.
Rather, WFSRI incorporates the fundamental philosophy of ESG while extending the evaluation framework to areas of Responsible Management that conventional ESG alone cannot fully assess. It is SEC's independently developed Official Responsible Management Evaluation Framework.

 

이를 통해 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능성(Sustainability), 책임경영(Responsible Management), 공공가치(Public Value), 사회적 가치(Social Value), 공동체 가치(Community Value), 미래세대 보호(Protection of Future Generations), 디지털 윤리(Digital Ethics), 비재무 리스크 관리(Non-Financial Risk Management), 혁신역량(Innovation Capability), 장기 가치창출(Long-Term Value Creation)을 종합적으로 평가한다.
Through this framework, SEC comprehensively evaluates Sustainability, Responsible Management, Public Value, Social Value, Community Value, Protection of Future Generations, Digital Ethics, Non-Financial Risk Management, Innovation Capability, and Long-Term Value Creation.

 

WFSRI는 조직의 현재를 평가하는 데 그치지 않고 미래 성장 가능성과 지속가능한 경쟁력을 함께 진단하여 지속적인 개선과 혁신을 지원하는 발전지향형 책임경영 평가체계이다.
The WFSRI goes beyond assessing current organizational performance. It is a development-oriented Responsible Management Evaluation Framework designed to evaluate future growth potential and sustainable competitiveness while supporting continuous improvement and innovation.

 

 

백서의 목적
Purpose of This White Paper

 

본 백서는 WFSRI의 개발 배경과 평가철학, 공식 책임경영 평가체계, 평가방법론, 평가기준, 핵심가치지표(Core Value Indicators, CVI), 운영원칙 및 활용체계를 체계적으로 정리한 공식 기준문서이다.
This White Paper is the official reference document presenting the development background of the WFSRI, its evaluation philosophy, the Official Responsible Management Evaluation Framework, evaluation methodology, evaluation criteria, Core Value Indicators (CVI), operational principles, and practical applications.

 

또한 기업 및 공공기관, 연구기관, 정책입안자, 투자자 및 다양한 이해관계자가 책임경영을 체계적으로 이해하고 효과적으로 활용할 수 있도록 지원하는 공식 해설서이자 실천적 지침서의 역할을 수행한다.
It also serves as the official reference guide and practical resource for corporations, public institutions, research organizations, policymakers, investors, and other stakeholders seeking to understand and effectively implement Responsible Management.

WFSRI는 단순히 조직을 평가하거나 비교하기 위한 지표체계가 아니다.
The WFSRI is not merely an evaluation or comparison tool.

 

조직 스스로 현재의 책임경영 수준을 객관적으로 진단하고 강점과 개선과제를 확인하여 지속적인 혁신과 장기 가치창출을 추진할 수 있도록 지원하는 발전지향형 책임경영 평가체계이다.
It is a development-oriented Responsible Management Evaluation Framework that enables organizations to objectively assess their current level of Responsible Management, identify strengths and opportunities for improvement, and pursue continuous innovation and long-term value creation.

 

SEC는 평가를 조직의 우열을 가리는 수단이 아니라 성장과 혁신을 위한 기반으로 생각한다.
