SEC WFSRI Rating System

 

SEC WFSRI Rating은 SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)가 운영하는 공식 책임경영 평가등급 체계로서 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)의 평가결과를 바탕으로 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능성, 책임경영 수준, 사회적 가치 창출 성과 및 미래 대응 역량을 종합적으로 평가하여 등급을 부여하는 제도이다.

 

SEC WFSRI Rating is the official responsible management rating system administered by the Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC). Based on the evaluation results of the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI), it assigns ratings through a comprehensive assessment of sustainability, responsible management performance, social value creation outcomes, and future readiness among corporations and public institutions.

SEC WFSRI Rating은 평가대상 조직의 책임경영 수준을 보다 객관적이고 이해하기 쉬운 형태로 제시함으로써 투자자, 고객, 임직원, 지역사회 및 기타 이해관계자의 합리적인 의사결정을 지원하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Rating aims to support informed decision-making by investors, customers, employees, local communities, and other stakeholders by presenting responsible management performance in a more objective and easily understandable format.

SEC WFSRI Rating은 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)의 평가철학과 평가원칙을 기반으로 운영된다. 따라서 평가등급은 단순한 점수 결과가 아니라 조직의 지속가능성, 책임경영 수준, 비재무 리스크 관리역량, 혁신역량 및 장기 가치창출 역량을 종합적으로 반영한 결과이다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Rating operates based on the evaluation philosophy and principles of the WFSRI. Accordingly, ratings represent not merely numerical scores but a comprehensive reflection of sustainability, responsible management performance, non-financial risk management capability, innovation capability, and long-term value creation potential.

SEC WFSRI Rating은 6대 평가부문(Six Major Evaluation Categories), 14개 하위항목(Fourteen Sub-Categories), 110개 세부지표(110 Detailed Indicators) 및 31개 핵심가치지표(CVI, Core Value Indicators)를 기반으로 평가가 이루어진다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Rating is based on Six Major Evaluation Categories, Fourteen Sub-Categories, 110 Detailed Indicators, and 31 Core Value Indicators (CVI).

평가과정에서는 공개자료를 중심으로 평가가 진행되며, 필요시 사실확인(Factual Review), 자료검증 및 이의신청(Appeal) 절차를 통하여 평가의 정확성과 신뢰성을 확보한다.

 

Evaluations are primarily conducted using publicly available information. When necessary, factual review, data verification, and appeal procedures are utilized to ensure accuracy and reliability.

SEC는 평가의 독립성과 공정성을 확보하기 위하여 평가대상 기업 및 공공기관으로부터 평가비, 심사비, 인증비, 후원금, 협찬금 또는 기타 금전적 지원을 받지 않는 경제적 독립성 원칙을 유지하고 있다.

 

To ensure independence and fairness, SEC maintains a principle of financial independence and does not accept evaluation fees, review fees, certification fees, sponsorships, donations, or any other financial support from evaluated corporations or public institutions.

또한 SEC는 SEC ESG 평가등급 운영규정, SEC 평가결과 공표규정, SEC 사실확인(Factual Review) 운영규정, SEC 이의신청(Appeal) 심사규정, WFPL ESG 인증 운영규정, SEC 평가윤리규정 및 SEC 이해상충 방지규정을 기반으로 평가 거버넌스 체계를 운영하고 있다.

 

SEC also operates its evaluation governance framework based on the SEC ESG Rating Regulations, SEC Evaluation Result Disclosure Regulations, SEC Factual Review Regulations, SEC Appeal Review Regulations, WFPL ESG Certification Regulations, SEC Evaluation Ethics Regulations, and SEC Conflict of Interest Prevention Regulations.

SEC WFSRI Rating은 평가결과 공표와 함께 등급별 인증마크 체계를 운영하고 있으며, 평가결과는 ESG·WFSRI 평가분석센터를 통하여 공개될 수 있다.

 

In conjunction with the disclosure of evaluation results, SEC operates a rating-specific certification mark system, and evaluation outcomes may be published through the ESG·WFSRI Evaluation & Analysis Center.

SEC는 평가등급의 활용성을 높이고 책임경영 문화 확산에 기여하기 위하여 SEC WFSRI Rating과 WFPL ESG 인증제도를 연계하여 운영할 수 있으며, 평가결과를 기반으로 우수 기업 및 공공기관에 대한 인증을 실시할 수 있다.

To enhance the usability of ratings and contribute to the expansion of responsible management culture, SEC may operate the SEC WFSRI Rating in conjunction with the WFPL ESG Certification Program and provide certification to outstanding corporations and public institutions based on evaluation results.

SEC WFSRI Rating은 단순한 평가결과 공개를 넘어 평가·분석·인증 기능을 통합한 책임경영 평가체계로 운영되며, 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능한 발전과 사회적 가치 실현을 지원하는 것을 목표로 한다.

 

The SEC WFSRI Rating operates as an integrated responsible management evaluation system combining evaluation, analysis, and certification functions. Its objective is to support sustainable development and the realization of social value among corporations and public institutions.

SEC는 앞으로도 SEC WFSRI Rating의 지속적인 고도화와 국제적 정합성 확보를 통하여 신뢰받는 글로벌 책임경영 평가등급 체계를 구축해 나갈 계획이다.
