설립취지 및 목적
Purpose and Objectives

 

 

 

SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)는 세계청년리더총연맹(WFPL, World Federation of Power Leaders)이 설립한 기업·공공기관 평가전문기관으로서 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI, WF Sustainable Responsibility Index)의 개발 및 운영, 기업·공공기관 ESG 평가, 평가방법론 연구, 평가등급 운영, 인증제도 운영, 산업별 평가분석 및 책임경영 문화 확산을 목적으로 설립되었다.

 

The Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC) is a specialized evaluation institution for corporations and public institutions established by the World Federation of Power Leaders (WFPL). SEC was founded to develop and operate the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI), conduct ESG evaluations, advance evaluation methodologies, operate rating and certification systems, provide industry analysis, and promote a culture of responsible management.

 

SEC는 기존 SEC가 축적해 온 평가철학과 제도적 기반을 계승하면서 지속가능성, 책임경영, 비재무 리스크 관리, 혁신역량 및 장기 가치창출 역량 평가를 포괄하는 전문 평가기관으로 발전하고 있다.

 

SEC inherits the evaluation philosophy and institutional foundation accumulated through its earlier activities while evolving into a professional evaluation institution encompassing sustainability, responsible management, non-financial risk management, innovation capability, and long-term value creation assessment.

 

오늘날 기업 및 공공기관을 둘러싼 경영환경은 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 기후변화 대응, 탄소중립 실현, 디지털 전환, 인공지능(AI)의 발전, 공급망 리스크, 인권 보호, 사이버 보안, 윤리경영 및 이해관계자 보호에 대한 요구가 확대되면서 지속가능성과 비재무 리스크 관리역량은 조직 경쟁력의 핵심 요소로 부상하고 있다.

 

Today, the operating environment surrounding corporations and public institutions is changing rapidly. Climate action, carbon neutrality, digital transformation, advances in artificial intelligence (AI), supply-chain risks, human rights protection, cybersecurity, ethical management, and stakeholder protection have emerged as critical factors shaping organizational sustainability and competitiveness.

 

과거에는 조직의 성과를 주로 재무적 결과 중심으로 평가하였으나, 오늘날에는 지속가능성(Sustainability), 책임경영(Responsible Management), 비재무 리스크 관리(Non-Financial Risk Management), 혁신역량(Innovation Capability), 공공성(Public Value), 공동체 가치(Community Value), 미래세대 보호(Protection of Future Generations), 디지털윤리(Digital Ethics) 및 장기 가치창출(Long-Term Value Creation)이 조직의 지속가능한 성장과 경쟁력을 결정하는 핵심 요소로 인식되고 있다.

 

While organizational performance was once measured primarily through financial outcomes, sustainability, responsible management, non-financial risk management, innovation capability, public value, community value, protection of future generations, digital ethics, and long-term value creation are now recognized as critical determinants of sustainable growth and competitiveness.

 

이와 같은 시대적 변화에 따라 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능성, 책임경영 수준, 비재무 리스크 관리역량, 혁신역량 및 미래 대응 역량을 객관적이고 체계적으로 평가할 수 있는 전문 평가체계의 필요성이 지속적으로 확대되고 있다.

 

These evolving circumstances have increased the need for a professional evaluation framework capable of objectively and systematically assessing sustainability, responsible management performance, non-financial risk management capability, innovation capability, and future-readiness.

 

SEC는 이러한 시대적 요구에 부응하기 위하여 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능성, 책임경영 수준, 비재무 리스크 관리역량, 혁신역량 및 장기 가치창출 역량을 종합적으로 평가함으로써 투자자 및 이해관계자의 합리적 의사결정을 지원하고 조직의 지속가능한 발전에 기여하고자 한다.

 

In response to these challenges, SEC seeks to support informed decision-making by investors and stakeholders through comprehensive evaluations of sustainability, responsible management, non-financial risk management capability, innovation capability, and long-term value creation potential.

 

이를 위하여 SEC는 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)를 공식 평가모델로 운영하고 있으며, 기업 및 공공기관의 책임경영 수준과 지속가능한 성장 역량을 객관적이고 체계적으로 평가할 수 있는 통합 평가체계를 구축하고 있다.

 

To achieve this mission, SEC operates the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) as its official evaluation framework and has established an integrated evaluation system capable of objectively assessing responsible management performance and sustainable growth capabilities.

 

WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)는 6대 평가부문(Six Major Evaluation Categories), 14개 하위항목(Fourteen Sub-Categories), 110개 세부지표(110 Detailed Indicators) 및 31개 핵심가치지표(CVI, Core Value Indicators)로 구성된 책임경영 평가체계이다.

 

The WFSRI is a responsible management evaluation framework consisting of Six Major Evaluation Categories, Fourteen Sub-Categories, 110 Detailed Indicators, and 31 Core Value Indicators (CVI).

 

WFSRI는 ESG(Environment, Social, Governance)의 기본 가치와 평가원칙을 포함함과 동시에 공공성(Public Value), 공동체 가치(Community Value), 미래세대 보호(Protection of Future Generations), 디지털윤리(Digital Ethics) 및 혁신가치(Innovation Value)를 함께 반영하는 확장형 책임경영 평가체계이다.

 

The WFSRI is an expanded responsible management framework that incorporates Public Value, Community Value, Protection of Future Generations, Digital Ethics, and Innovation Value in addition to ESG principles.

 

SEC는 WFSRI를 기반으로 SEC WFSRI Rating을 운영하고 있다. SEC WFSRI Rating은 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능성, 책임경영 수준, 사회적 가치 창출 성과 및 미래 대응 역량을 종합적으로 평가하여 부여하는 공식 책임경영 평가등급 체계이다.

 

SEC operates the SEC WFSRI Rating framework based on the WFSRI. The SEC WFSRI Rating is the official responsible management rating system that comprehensively evaluates sustainability, responsible management performance, social value creation, and future-readiness capability.

 

또한 SEC는 ESG·WFSRI 평가분석센터를 운영하여 평가결과, 산업별 리그테이블, 비교분석 보고서, 책임경영 프로파일, 비재무 리스크 분석 및 산업전망 정보를 제공함으로써 책임경영 문화 확산과 지속가능한 발전을 지원하고 있다.

 

SEC also operates the ESG·WFSRI Evaluation & Analysis Center, providing evaluation results, industry league tables, comparative analysis reports, responsible management profiles, non-financial risk assessments, and industry outlook information to support the advancement of responsible management and sustainable development.

 

SEC는 평가(Evaluation), 분석(Analysis), 인증(Certification)을 통합적으로 수행하는 책임경영 플랫폼으로서 기업 및 공공기관이 보다 투명하고 혁신적이며 책임 있는 조직으로 성장할 수 있도록 지원하고 있다.

 

SEC serves as an integrated platform for Evaluation, Analysis, and Certification, supporting corporations and public institutions in becoming more transparent, innovative, and responsible organizations.

 

SEC는 공정성(Fairness), 객관성(Objectivity), 독립성(Independence), 투명성(Transparency), 책임성(Accountability), 전문성(Professionalism) 및 데이터 신뢰성(Data Reliability)을 핵심 운영원칙으로 삼고 있으며, 정치적·경제적 이해관계로부터 독립된 평가체계를 운영하고 있다.

 

SEC upholds Fairness, Objectivity, Independence, Transparency, Accountability, Professionalism, and Data Reliability as its fundamental operating principles and maintains an evaluation framework independent of political and economic interests.

 

또한 SEC는 평가와 인증의 독립성을 확보하기 위하여 평가대상 기업 및 공공기관으로부터 평가비, 심사비, 인증비, 후원금, 협찬금 또는 기타 금전적 지원을 받지 않는 경제적 독립성(Financial Independence) 원칙을 유지하고 있다.

 

SEC maintains a principle of Financial Independence and does not accept evaluation fees, review fees, certification fees, sponsorships, promotional support, or any other financial assistance from evaluated corporations or public institutions.

 

SEC는 앞으로도 책임경영 평가체계의 지속적인 고도화와 국제협력 확대를 통하여 대한민국을 대표하는 책임경영 평가·분석 플랫폼으로 성장하고, 나아가 글로벌 책임경영 평가기준을 제시하는 국제적 평가기관으로 발전해 나갈 것이다.

 

SEC will continue to advance responsible management evaluation methodologies and expand international cooperation, growing into Korea's leading responsible management evaluation and analysis platform while contributing to the establishment of global standards in responsible management assessment.
